MySurvey Scam - Is My Survey a Scam?
MySurvey Scam - Is My Survey a Scam?
Hey there, George here.
And you are reading my uncensored review of what I really thought about the paid survey company: MySurvey.
Note: This is only a review and if you are looking for the official MySurvey website and a free sign up bonus, then please click here:
I am writing this review because when I first started doing paid surveys, there weren't many real reviews around. And even today, as of July 2012, the majority of the reviews are not from real users at all. They're just pages that people have designed to promote their own referral links and they offer nothing valuable to the reader at all. As a person who likes to do research to see if the survey panel is worth joining before hand, this really frustrates me and therefore I decided to devote my time and write an objective review and provide an in depth analysis into MySurvey to help others who were once in my shoes. I have conducted extensive research into this company and have investigated many different user reports regarding their experiences with MySurvey. I have consolidated the MySurvey reviews into a easy to read concise report.
MySurvey Background Information:
MySurvey was first established in 1946 under the National Family Opinion (NFO). During this period, they started collecting and conducting surveys via the postal service and eventually moved on to the telephone. In 2001, they established MySurvey.com, which is their venture into the online survey industry. Nowadays, the majority of the surveys is conducted online; but they still sometimes use the telephone or the postal service to gather opinions. Today, they are a part of Lightspeed Research, which was established in 1937 and owned by one of the largest communications organizations in the world, WPP. In fact, WPP is the world's largest advertising company based on revenues alone and employs around 158,000 people.
Privacy Protection Checks:
One thing that I absolutely look for before I join a paid survey company is to see what kind of measures do they take to ensure that the information that I submit to them is secure and protected. Things that I generally look for are: TrustE certified, accreditation with the Better Business Bureau, a privacy policy, and a public listing of their company's contact details. Now, many survey panels do not have these features, but are still considered to be legitimate. These are just the things that I look for that adds confidence to my decision to join.
TrustE certification means that they have been independently assessed by an organization for meeting the highest standards for protecting the personal data and privacy on the web. An accreditation with the Better Business Bureau means that they are commited to making a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. MySurvey's rating is currently an A+. Public listing of their company details means that they have nothing to hide.

MySurvey Reviews:
MySurvey is a highly reputable survey company that is considered to be one of the best in the industry. Their surveys are often very interesting and they have a reputation of being one of the more fun panels to participate in. Their sweepstakes add another element of exciting to the otherwise mundane task of filling surveys. Many users report that MySurvey is worth it compared to other survey companies as they have a great time spent to points earned ratio. 10 to 15 surveys can earn you 1000 points, which allows you to reduce vouchers such as $10 from Amazon.com. Sometimes, you may qualify for higher paying surveys that can pay 500 points per survey. Other survey sites report problems with crediting after completing a survey. However, MySurvey credits the surveys instantly after completion.
They do not deceive you at all. Many panels will make you complete the survey and in the end say that you did not qualify. MySurvey.com does not do this at all. They will send you notifications when there is a survey that you are eligible to take. With the many different ways to earn points and the daily sweepstakes, MySurvey is one of the better sites to make some extra money with. Many users rate this as their favourite survey site with common reasons to be reliable, quick payments, and interesting yet fun surveys. They also like the fact that payment can be paid out using Paypal.
However, there are some negative points to consider with MySurvey. There are a few times where the points do not get credited after completing a survey. If this happens, then please contact their customer service right away and they will apologize and correct the amount in your balance. Other users report having difficulty qualifying for surveys and as a result they only receive around 10-20 surveys a month. Because of this, it is difficult for them for rack up the points to cash out. The minimum amount that you can get for doing surveys is 5 points, which is equal to 5 cents. This is low and troublesome especially if you only receive 10-20 surveys monthly.
The most common complaint is you do not make much money with MySurvey. An extra $25-100 a month if you are lucky. But this is the problem with paid surveys as a whole. In order to make money doing paid surveys, you will have to sign up for many different legitimate paid survey companies. That way, the money that you make will add up and it can be enough to cover your bills or any living expenses. If each survey site earns you around $25-100 each month, then signing up for 10 sites can give you a considerable amount of supplement income that you can use for your expenses.
